Our new Monticello tea is a premium Chinese Green Tea called Young Hyson.
Young Hyson is inspired by the Chinese translation “Before the Rains.”
Harvested in early spring, this young, long, and wiry leaf tea is full-bodied with a hint of floral sweetness.
Young Hyson has great historical significance. It is known to be Thomas Jefferson’s favorite tea!
It was also one of the teas that were dumped into Boston Harbor at the Boston Tea Party.
